ABOUT

"Matt Augustine draws from a lifelong love and exposure to a diverse variety of music, and his songs are simple and familiar. His personal lyrics offer a late summer, lamplit reflection on his experience with the fleeting nature of love. His soundscaped style provides the perfect ecosystem for poignant, heartfelt lyrics, ascending from a deep well formed by the bricks of introspection and personal experience. Matt takes listeners on a familiar journey, unavoidably conjuring memories of one’s own. A flickering hope pervades his delivery, and though he may ask many questions, if you listen closely, he does offer some answers. Like any good storyteller, he will leave you yearning for more.

Matt Augustine is an alumnus of Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts, and currently resides in Chicago, Illinois. In addition to his solo work, Matt Augustine is currently the bassist for the Chicago Blues group Jack Butler's Jones."
